Lakeside School
In the first phase of our outdoor redevelopment at Lakeside School in Welwyn Garden, we transformed underused areas into safer, more engaging space for children to play, explore, and learn. Working closely with the school, we restructured the layout to support a wider range of activities and created a more inviting, functional environment for all age groups.
A key part of the project was the supply and installation of durable play equipment designed to encourage both active and imaginative play. We also laid Wet Pour safety surface across key zones, making the space usable year-round and fully compliant with modern safety standards. In addition, we developed a dedicated sensory play area to support specific needs of SEND pupils – providing a calming, interactive space carefully tailored to stimulate senses and promote inclusive play for every child.
With the groundwork complete, phase two will build on this progress and extend improvements across the wider site.
